Àsà tales; 7 days to Birthday

Location: cchub, Yaba
Time: 12:11 PM

Yeah, yeah, I'm back here again with you-know-what...:-). The title's the give away so you guessed right: it's everything to do with àsà. Just last night, I sat thinking through the whole and was like, "I can't keep going like this doing very little even while waiting on Iyke to turn in the graphic assets for the folk tale". I thought even further, "is that all I hope to make out of the content given me by NICO"? As in, turn up after 3 months and just present a "folk tale". Nah! There was a lot more I could do with the contents specifically in line with my original idea. I just had to go back to where I was a few weeks back. In fact, even farther to the where I was before the name àsà ever came to be. I needed to forget about what exists in competitive products or ideas given what I hope to achieve the whole. Plus, I couldn't make excuses on the basis of my more efficient DELL notebook. I needed to get my mojo back and self-discipline's key to that.
Anyways, nuff of the intro. I have a working plan that I quickly put together early this morning while the world slept. It's a basic 4 week plan to see me put some good stuffs together. And I already commenced so there's no waiting until this or that are in.
So, what have I been up to? Well, I've been making the most of what exists in assets and resources to learn and practice.
Away from àsà, in other developments, I stumbled across a news of interest in form of an upcoming creative workshop by Kachifo. It's a 10 days program that'll involve the likes of Chimamanda Adichie (one person I'd always wanted to meet) and is bound to be very interesting. Anyways, long and short of it is I'm definitely putting in for it and expecting the best. One interesting dimension to the development is that I actually got it via twitter given I'd deactivated my facebook last week Friday. It's a temporary thing but the point I'm tryna make is that it's not an easy decision living outside of major virtual ecosystem as facebook in today's world. It would help if had a good enough network on twitter as I do on facebook but I just haven't ever really gotten the hang of Twitter. In fact, my Twitter account lay dormant for donkey years until a sometime this year. The reality of my temporary Facebook account deactivation is that I don't have as much access to some updates as I normally would. I've been rethinking my decision cos the decision was itself taken to ensure self-control over my itchy fingers. Anyways, stil thinking sha.
Back to work...
